Leap… Imagination in Learning:
Leap…Imagination in Learning, a not for profit organization, focused on interweaving aspects of learning and the creative process for children. In a team of 4 students, we conducted a mini-consulting engagement for the organization.

We followed a three step engagement process, starting with interviews with the Executive Director, Chairman of the Board and a Board Member. We followed with an analysis of their strategy planning meeting minutes and an external situation analysis using the STEEPLE tool. We concluded with an ideation exercise that included the Executive Director and two board members.

Through our research we identified four areas of opportunity: Assisting with board skills, training and recruitment; identification and clarification of roles and responsibilities between the board and staff; workflow clarity; and goal setting and consensus.

Based on this engagement, we produced a number of deliverables, including a Board Model Analysis, and an Online Toolkit that combined nonprofit resources in a number of areas: Visioning, Operating, Marketing, Fundraising, and Recruiting. We also researched hosting options for the Board.
